The New Hampshire Victim's Compensation program provides assistance to victims of a misdemeanor or felony, which has been reported to the police and has physical or mental injuries. This Compensation also covers victims of child sexual abuse. They can help with things including: medical/dental bills, mental health therapy and/or co-pay cost, relocation costs if a safety plan is completed and approved, funeral bills to a homicide victim, reimbursement for clothing taken by the policy for evidence (in a sexual assault case), crime scene clean-up (for homicides), medication management, security systems, lost wages and loss of support (for minor children of homicide victims).
